Bobby Holder Scholarship Eligibility & Requirements

1.      There will be two Bobby Holder Agricultural Scholarships for the amount of $500.00. 

2.      To be eligible to apply for the Bobby Holder Agricultural Scholarship, an applicant must meet the qualifications as stated in the Texas FFA scholarship application.

3.      The Bobby Holder Agricultural Scholarship application will be the current Texas FFA scholarship application.

4.      The selection of the Bobby Holder Scholarship recipient will be done by the Area IV scholarship selection committee.  The recipients will be the highest ranking Area IV scholarship applicants that do not receive a scholarship through the Texas FFA.  This does not include the “John Justin” Award or “Ryan Mott” Scholarship.

5.       The Bobby Holder Agricultural Scholarship will be paid in following manner:

o        The scholarship must be used the next academic school year following recipient selection

o        Scholarship amount will be split equally between the first two semester of college, university or technical school enrollment.

o        All scholarship amounts will be paid directly to the recipient by the area coordinator secretary/treasurer.

o        The recipient must submit a paid tuition recipient each semester the funds are allocated.

o        Must submit a copy of the first semester’s grade report.

o       The recipient must maintain an scholastic grade point average as stated in the Texas FFA scholarship application.
